I am not going to say any brand names.
One is absolutely stunning to look at and is a good player, sounds great.
The other is my favorite, not as loud, plain looking, feels so good in my hand though.
I need to decide in 2 hours.

Number 2.
Sounds like less would be expected.
You said you won't name names though. If I saw a dude with an old assed Gibson or Martin that was so old it was "plain looking" I might expect something from that guy?
Saying Martin of course I assume you are talking acoustic.

It will be acoustic.
I don't think most of the people there, will know the difference between any guitar name brands.

I would probably go with #2.
Most people don't know which brand is better or not. Depending upon the venue, loud or not as loud will definitely be a factor for me.

Yeah, that one has double impact, beautiful and loud
The other one though,it damn near plays itself.
I think that comfort might help me. It's been a while.

Good idea. I have a Taylor 110e, my most basic guitar, but for playability it's my favorite. I always take it with me, along with one other, like maybe a 12-string.

Too late to influence your decision, but #2 will always be the correct answer.

Appreciate all the replies.
I went with old faithful, but it probably wouldn't have mattered.
Everybody there was so drunk,I could have just played the songs out of Mel Bay's beginning guitar song book, and nobody would have cared.
I got paid pretty well though,so I can't complain.
