It's very polarizing I know. I like covers that stray from the original. Tomato To ma to......

If you like odd Minnesota white girl rap.

Dessa

Kind of a Jill Scott, India Arie, Erykah Badu thing going on. I can dig it.

Sorry for the hijack, but I always thought Tiffany Lamson was cute, this video put her in the hot category. Also she's my favorite voice in the state.

Love those guys

I have been lucky enough to see these guys twice in Seattle in the last year and a half. They are, hands down, the best punk band I have seen in my life.

While the lead singer Joe is pretty intense on and off the stage, the bassist and drummer are the most mellow guys in person you'd ever meet. The drummer snuck my friend and I into their sold out show.

See this band if you have the chance.

My personal favorite is the R&B singer, H.E.R. Tiny Desk

She really showed off her talent I felt like. I always admire anyone who can play an instrument while still singing. She did both beautifully with both electric and accoustic. Also it was something about the live band that made her music sound so much better than the studio verions of the song.

Not to mention there was some part in her tiny desk where she was straight up using her voice as an instrument. She was singing every note the guitarist was playing. Not sure if I have ever even seen that before.
