Robert Earl Keen - Feelin' Good Again
I've always loved that song,
And don't forget Jerry Jeff Walker.

Guy Clark - saw him couple weeks ago here in Houston. He isn't in the best of health so if you've never seen him I suggest going soon. He is supposed to be coming to Baton Rouge soon.
Ray Wylie Hubbard - I think Ray is what we would have had if Bob Dylan had been born in the South, raised on grits and grease, and played in Dallas strip clubs instead of Greenich Village coffee houses. He is one of the best lyricist around. His new album Grifters Hymnal is awesome...check it out

Reckless Kelly handsdown
Also really liked Lost Trailers before they started making radio crap. Welcome to The Woods was a pretty bad arse album.

they sell advance tickets?
For most shows, they take reservations by email on the honor system, and you pay at the door. Works only because no-shows are very limited. Otherwise, empty seats mean less money for the artists, and potential paying customers turned away for no reason.
For big ticket shows like Guy Clark, Jerry Jeff Walker, Rodney Crowell, they usually take reservations by email, but require advance payment to keep your reservations.
And the upcoming Guy Clark showtime for the Sunday show is early afternoon at 4PM.
