Irving Berlin's masterpiece;

Rufus treats his sweetie to
Highbrow drinks & oyster stew
Though he knows quite well his dash
Means six days of beans & hash
Dry spots can come tomorrow
Five spots they'll have to borrow
But nobody cares
Tonight they're all millionaires!

If you're blue
And you don't know where to go to
Why don't you go where Harlem sits
Puttin' on the Ritz
Angle down upon a bevy
Of high browns from down the levee
All misfits
Puttin' on the Ritz

That's where each and every Lulubelle goes
Every Thursday* evening with her swell beaus
Rubbing elbows
Come with me and we'll attend their jubilee
And see them spend their last two bits
Puttin' on the Ritz...

Ronnie Van Zant - His songwriting was phenomenal. Most of the stuff he wrote about were real things going on in his life.

Whenever I see your name on here, I'm reminded of an ancient joke, about an old man and woman at a doctor's office: The old man drives his wife into town for her checkup, and right off the bat there in the waiting room they tell her to go pee in this cup and she does.
She comes back out and sits beside her old man and waits, after a bit she gets thirsty and wants to go to the water fountain, so she hands the old man the cup of pee, and goes to get a drink.
About that time, the receptionist comes out of the door and points at the cup of pee in the old man's hand and asks" is that urine?" The old man points at his wife and says" Naw, it's hern"

Very underrated.

I was surprised to learn they wrote this one.

if anyone believes taylor swift writes her own material then she's gotta be up there.

cynical me assumes there's an absolute army of song writers propping her up but i keep hearing that she does alot of this on her own.

One of her writing partners
Jack Antonoff is the lead singer of rock band Bleachers, and is the guitarist and drummer in the pop rock band Fun.
Antonoff has been nominated for a Golden Globe Award and won eight Grammy Awards, including the 2022 and 2023 Grammy for Producer of the Year. He has also won Grammy Awards for his work with Fun, for production on Swift's albums 1989 and Folklore, for production on St. Vincent's album Daddy's Home, and for co-writing the title track on St. Vincent's Masseduction.
Pretty talented guy in his own right
