Examples of John Enstwhistle being a badass?

Besides The Real Me?
Not a big Who fan but huge Pearl Jam fan so some interest spilled over. Saw PJ in Dallas and they played Real Me and I just noticed how good Ament was in playing the song. And IMO he keeps it simple. Enstwhistle adds about an extra 4000 notes through the song.
I youtube'd last night and saw some old videos and some fairly recent. I know he is dead. But he died in mid 2000's right? And he DID die literally with hookers and blow? Correct.
I'll hang up and listen.

"Dreaming From the Waist" is my favorite Oxline not mentioned yet. The end of the song where the band is just jamming after the end of Roger's vocal.
His bass line really drives the instrumental melody of "Substitute" (Pete is just strumming on the 3 and the 7).

"Whiskey Man," which he wrote and for which he provides the vocal. For
whatever reason, John couldn't pronounce the letter R without making
it sound weird, so when he sang
Whiskey Man's my friend; he's with me, merry all the time. He
always joins me when I drink, and we get on just fine...
...None of the R's sounded right, so before turning the vocal over to the capable Roger, producer Kit Lambert came up with a long shot idea that ended up working: record one track of John pronouncing the R's like W's and another with him pronouncing them like L's. You can listen to the track with just the left or right speaker and you'll hear either...
Whiskey Man's my fliend; he's with me, melly all the time. He
always joins me when I dlink, and we get on just fine...

Entwistle was a great bass player, but I still rank him behind Jack Bruce (if anyone doesn't know who he is, they should be shot!) and Leo Lyons (Ten Years After), although Chris Squire of Yes is pretty damn good too.
Entwistle had some great songs, like 'Whiskey Man','Boris the Spider' and 'My Wife', but check out some of his solo material too- I really enjoyed 'Whistle Rymes', in which he used Peter Frampton. Interesting to note, that most of the songs on that album he started off on the piano. Besides being a great bass player, he had a formal musical background. Hard to believe he has already been dead for 11 years...
