I remember buying that album and wanting to melt the cd after hearing bugs. i just thought most of the album was a half assed attempt. Eddie was getting political and i hated that as well. I haven’t looked into their music since.

The Great Gig In The Sky > Money

Money has grown on me over the years but it really harshes the vibe on Dark Side Of The Moon. Doesn’t belong on the album.

I get what you are saying, and I agree with the fit comment, but I think most are taking issue with that song's inclusion when the title of the thread includes: terrible song.

I used to hate Money and would always skip it. I hate it less now though. Don’t know if this helps.

Maybe it’s not the best example for this thread but it’s the first thing that came to my mind.

It's the song that got me interested in PF, so that's hard for me to wrap my brain around

I listen to this album front to back but always skip Gangland
I get it, but Gangland is still pretty good. If we're talking Maiden, then it's hands down Flight of Icarus. It's followed by the ONLY unlistenable Maiden song - Die With Your Boots On.

Use Your Illusion II - goes from Don't Cry Alt into fricking My World.

And I'll say Illusion I as well - goes from You Ain't the First (one of the ALLTIME bro singalongs) to Bad Obsession.

Me too at least from that era. I like their very early stuff.

I’m also not a fan of Money.

Border Song

The Greatest Discovery

Works much better for Elton John. Candle in the Wind only became horribly vapid after Princess Di lived up to her name.

And as good as Border Song is musically, Bernie Taupin is showing his obsession and cluelessness about early America.
