Roger was born an a-hole and it has been all downhill since.
His father, somewhat famously, was an anti-war British communist who suddenly changed his tune when Germany invaded the USSR. His death during the war obviously affected Roger pretty significantly, but his politics are transparent. Strange for a guy whose band grossed $1 billion, easily - back when that was real money.

It just feels lame now though, and that's coming from a big PF fan.
When RW was young obviously losing his dad and his opinions on war had an affect on him. And even during his PF tenure of writing songs it makes sense that the sense of being anti-govt and anti-war would shine through which is certainly undersatndable.
But I mean there's a major difference in incorporating those themes as a young adult into your music and being a 75 year old asking American musicians to take a gd knee during a super bowl performance. I mean c'mon.
I saw his tour 2 years ago and during the animals sequence every bit of imagery was about trump. It almost made me a bit uncomfortable to be honest, I mean I'm not a big trump guy but I still believe in respecting the office of the presidency. Yet here's a 70+ year old british dude over here basically telling all of us we suck if we dont' hate the guy.

I also don't like it when he directly calls out other bands for not toeing the PC line as he sees it: Like playing Israel. Any band that plays Israel he feels the need to light them up in the press about it. He is obviously pro-Palestinian.

I saw the show too. I just kind of laughed it off, because it was just so over the top. Other than that though, the show was great.

They should have knelt. Would have taken the heat off that crap halftime performance. Also, for all the "Roger Waters should STFU and stick to music" I'm sure you guys probably love Ted Nugent more for his political beliefs than his actual music. Don't be hypocritical.

Waters and Nugent can both do whatever the hell they want in their concerts. It is their concerts. The difference between the two is that I do not remember Nugent ever telling any other performers what they should do in their concerts.

And don’t make assumptions about others especially people you don’t know.
I love Roger Waters music, Pink Floyd is 1 of my 2-3 favorite bands. I don’t agree with most of his politics and find his pro BDS stance outright abhorrent. That said I know what I’m getting at his show, I just roll my eyes at some of it, if it really bothered me I wouldn’t go.
Ted Nugget has a couple of decent songs I guess, I never owned any of his albums or saw him in concert though I did see Damn Yankees opening for someone else I think. I’m not a huge fan of most of his politics either actually
