Don't really hate M&S, just don't get the hype. I just remember seeing them on the Grammys a few years back playing alongside Bob Dylan and The Avett Bros. and thinking one of these does not belong with the other two.

I don't think they are Nickelback bad, but I do cringe when I hear some of their songs.

It reminds me of hipsters who try too hard to be "hip"

Listen to one of their songs and you've basically heard everything they have to offer

No one belongs on the same stage as Bob Dylan.

Its pretty simple, I enjoy listening to their music.

I'm not here saying they are the best band, or even great. I just enjoy their music.

What other reason could a person possibly have?

I loved the first album. Babel is hit or miss to me.

I understand the songs sound mostly the same

There are plenty of bands or "artists" that deserve way more hate than M&S. Who cares anyway? If one of their songs are on it's definitely more tolerable than most crap out there these days.

I liked them when I first heard them then they very quickly grew stale. I can hardly stomach them now

I'll be honest, I did exactly what the article advised me not to do. Saw the video yesterday and liked it, not just for the comedians, but I liked the music.

Listened to M&S some today at work.

I don't hate them, but I don't love them. I'm right in the middle. Sometimes I enjoy listening to their sound, sometimes I don't want to. Depends on the mood I'm in and what I'm doing.

Postmodern deconstruction is so lazy and sophmoric that his whole critique is an evisceration of itself. No surprise that TheDoc is beating this drum.

The very concept that we all have to agree upon what music or other popular culture we can like is absurd. Even the concepts of inauthenticity and unoriginality are abused and tortured into weapons for the deconstructionists of the post-modern era.

Please take a moment to really consider the absurdity of this title, "Don't let mumford & sons trick you into liking them".

He's really saying, "Who're you gonna believe, my words or your own lying ears? "
