IB4 White Jeep.
I plan on being a guitar geek and checking out soccer moms all dolled up in their best old hippy/hipster outfits.
IB4 Dave Matthews sucks.
I mainly plan on drinking enough beer to hate myself for not picking up a guitar when I was 14.

Damn. You must be hardcore buying fan club pre sale tickets.
Tickets don't go on sale to the general public until Feb. 10.

I like the Dave and Tim acoustic shows. Should be fun.

Gonna do whatever I can to see them when they go to Tuscaloosa

Personally I'd rather see the band but the one nice thing about D & T shows is that you get to hear a lot more good stories between songs. He interacts with the audience a lot more when it's just the two of them.

I just love the two guys playing guitar format of the show.
I'd love to see Chris Cornell as well in his solo shows. Same reason. Just a dude and an acoustic. Kind of like modern day Jim Croce. On guy singing and playing guitar well, and a little dude who is a badass on guitar with him.

If you like that sort of thing (I do too) here are a couple of names for you. Willy Porter and Pierce Pettis. I would say Willy is the better player and Pierce is the better writer of lyrics. They both tend to play in smaller venues and house concerts. Here are a couple of samples:

Saw them at the State Palace back in 97. Great show. Tim Reynolds is awesome.

When people say someone talented like him or john mayer sucks I always immediately think they had a gf that used to really like those musicians and they created bonds and memories listening to their music, then the girl ended up blowing some other dude and now they're like DAVE SUCKS.

I just interpret it to mean that they don't like them. People sometimes have a difficult time distinguishing between the subjective and the objective. For sure a lot of things about music are subjective. But it's possible to recognize that someone is a good musician without necessarily liking their music. Conversely there's a big difference between someone that sucks musically and someone who is good but that you just don't care for.

Great point. Anyone that has made a living touring for 20+ years in music doesn't suck. We see plenty of one hit wonders and bands/singers that have one or two good albums, but then fizzle out. Bands like DMB may not be for everyone, but they have a loyal following of fans that have been going to see them for over two decades. That doesn't happen if you suck.
I'm probably going to the show in Tuscaloosa. Wish it was Birmingham, but still worth the short drive. I'd love to see a Dave and Tim show at Alabama Theater. I know it only holds about 1/3 of Tuscaloosa amp or 1/4 of Oak Mountain, but that setting would be great for a small acoustic show. Much better than an amp.

Never been. Interested to see what it's like just the two of them

Check out live at Luther college or live at radio city. Two amazing concerts of just them.

I meant live as in person. Ive listened to several of the D&T albums, but I've only seen full band shows in person. I've heard D&T shows are a much more intimate atmosphere
