Do you sometimes lean towards a different genre/style of music?

I guess what I am asking is, do you favor a certain style of music? But.... Sometimes you catch yourself leaning towards something else? If so, what is it?
I like heavier progressive rock, but the other day I was listening to Shenandoah.

I mainly stick to the jams but I do enjoy the occasional Portugal. the Man or Strfkr genre. Whatever it's called

Mainstays are college/alt/jangle pop/etc.
I then jump to Alt. country. Maybe those are not all that different.

I find that if I'm not jamming to classic rock then I'm listening to indie type stuff/electro pop.. Passion pit, MGMT, Two Door Cinema Club, Phoenix etc..

I've started getting into classical music, we had a thread a while ago that gave me a ton of things to try out. I usually try to put on an hour long piece at least three times a week while at work. Youtube has all of that shite on there so it is really easy.

I've been listening to a lot of 75-85 stuff this past year or so. Punk, post-punk, new wave, etc sort of stuff
