A girl that I work ped with at a restaurant around here also teaches and told me she makes her coffee and listens trance on the way to school each morning. Short skinny girl that I think was a goth girl or raver back in the day.

Anyways when she told me that it surprised me for some reason. Not really sure why other than I think it just surprised me that anybody actually does listen to stuff like that while not rolling on x. And I say trance because that’s what she mentioned although my curiosity would extend to any sort of music like that.

Not really my style. That said , I have been getting super into Caribou this year. I’ve heard him described as “house”. Not sure what the difference between house and trance are, but I’d say a lot of his stuff could be called high energy dance music.

Caribou- Can’t Do Without You

Caribou- Odessa

Caribou- Never Come Back

Love some Caribou. Swim and the remixes are great albums.

I listened to his new album, Suddenly, and thought it was great (possibly my favorite of the year so far), so I’ve been going back and listening to Our Love, Swim and Andorra (that one is more 60s psychedelic pop than anything) and they have all been pretty damn great.

In the late 90s-early 2000s. Best trance era ever.

Now? Only at times for nostalgia purposes.

Not a goth girl. Goths never listen to trance. They are even too pretentious for that

Definitely a raver. Check her pupils and monitor her OJ consumption

I don't listen to it but don't mind it.

I was in a balcony at a club a couple of years ago that had a rave vibe going on the dance floor and these girls had their hair painted to glow neon (green, orange, blue, etc,) under black lights and it was sexy as hell.

If I was single and not old enough to be their father I'd have been down there with them.
