I'm listening to AoxomoxoA and I can't decide which of these is my favorite track. This album is a perfect example of Grateful Dead if you ask me.
St. Stephen
China Cat Sunflower
Dupree's Diamond Blues
Can't find a link to Eleventh Jam
I think my favorite is China Cat, but Dupree's Diamond Blues is a pretty funny story put into an awesome song.

Hmmm I suppose I'd choose St. Stephen. China Cat right behind

Between those, China Cat

St Stephen is my favorite song from Aoxomoxoa and one of my favorite Dead songs. Please don't make me pick my favorite from American Beauty.

i find aoxomoxoa unlistenable for the most part. china--->rider is one of my favorite seques they do live though. dupree's is a really underratted song imo, like that one a lot and st stephen is primal dead at its best live. i honestly cant tell you the last time i listened any dead studio albums though and i listen to the dead daily.

I don't often, but every now and then it's worth a listen.
Especially "Birth of the Dead" from when they were the Warlocks. It'll bend your mind.

all that early studio stuff is just played way too fast imo.

I like to get a different sound from the same band. It isn't my favorite of their stuff, clearly, but I use it to mix things up from time to time.

I enjoy the more psychedelic sounding songs.
I'm with you.
