DMB's "All Along The Watchtower" is the worst cover I ever heard

I’d rather crawl naked through broken glass than listen to any Dave Matthews songs.

As far as jam bands go dmb really doesn’t do super long songs compared to a lot of them

I was there and now I can confidently say that no one can accuse me of not having attended a Dave Matthews band concert

Probably because they're not a jam band

I wouldn’t open my window if Dave Matthew’s was playing in my backyard

I'm done with Dave. Was fun int he 90s and early 2000s. Now he sucks and so does his band.

Between the well known ones an ones not well known, he is by far and away the worst singer on this planet today. I have no clue why he gets so much love.

I was in college 99-03

Every party had the douche with the backwards hat playing crash on acoustic trying to get chicks

I really don't get the hate for Dave. I enjoy all the extra instruments and his acoustic rock. Plus the drummer is bad arse.

On his albums? No. Live? It sure seems that is the consensus lately.

I had tickets to see him a couple years ago, and didn't know he was doing jam bandy shows. I forgot about the show and missed it. I'm not so bummed after finding out about his live shows.

I am a DMB fan. They are not a jam band. They are a jelly band at best.

Phish, Grateful Dead, Goose etc. are jam bands. They start a song with no plan on where it's going.

DMB will extend songs out with solos, but the songs follow the same structure every time.

It seems to me that they pick some sort of structure on their main songs for each tour and stick closely to that. Most of their big hits or songs they play often will sound mostly the same. There might be a little guitar solo instead of horns, or maybe there is some interlude or segue into the next song that differs, but for the most part you're right. When they don't have a new album out, you get more variety. If they've released an album that year, you're almost guaranteed a half dozen of the songs on a given night will be from that album.

I would never listen to DMB in my truck or anything, but I saw him live at Hangout fest in 2012 on the beach for my 22nd birthday drunk and stoned out of my mind and it was probably the funnest concert I’ve ever been to. Me and my buddy still talk about that show. Haven’t listened to him since, but that was a hell of a night

This is why live music is the best! You don't have to be a fan of the artist to have a great time at the show. It's all about capturing the spirit and living in the moment. Good on you! Mine would've been a George Thurogood show. I'm not a fan, but we had a blast at the show.
