Dave's horn section really dropped off with Jeff Coffin.
I read this quote somewhere: "Leroi Moore made love to the saxophone. Jeff fricks the shite out of it."
Branford This is as close to the Leroi days as it gets.
Jeff Coffin sounds like he is playing a goose.

The woodlands shows are a little bro-ish. Hartford, CT has to be the worst. The venue is setup like the woodlands, just shitier. The area smells like a garbage dump. The parking lot is long retectagle so you have to walk past all the dickbags. Some dude took a piss in the middle of the grass area during the show. The nicest (and only) person we talked to was a guy from Monroe, go figure.
The Saenger D+T show was the complete opposite. People were very well behaved. The venue is so nice it would be like getting rowdy at your grandmother's dinner table.
Top DMB venues are SPAC, Alpine Valley, and Gorge. I plan to do SPAC this summer and see if there really is a difference in the crowds or the sterotype holds.

This is a good way of putting it, but I don't agree with the statement below at all.

Jeff is awesome. Leroi may have been a better composer and contributor to songs, but I think Jeff is more impressive on stage. Leroi would completely bomb with off-notes on solos that went nowhere quite often.

No, there's plenty of douchey cross-over in the two fan bases.

Oh yeah, and Red Rocks.
The full Weekend on the Rocks set is great. A top version of Pig, Time of the Season cover, mid-set Halloween followed by lullaby to settle the crowd, and many others.

Hell yea. Exodus featuring Robert Randolph and Ivan Neville was great. A remember a top version of The Stone as well. Definitely a great run aside from all obligatory Stand Up stuff that was sprinkled in back then.

DMB fan...
Thought nothing of them as I was a Seattle Rock guy in the early 90's. Kravitz opened for them once and a buddy went, so I went. This was at The Woodlands probably 1994?
Seeing them live was great. Even in a 21 year old drunken stupor I appreciated that they were really good. sounded just like the recordings and the songs I did not know, I could appreciate.

they started the tour last night, and played 3 new songs. The played The Last Stop and Sugar Will for the first time since 2010
looking forward to Friday and Saturday nights

Exodus was the highlight of the run for me no doubt about it. Also John Butler Trio was really good.

Last stop finally being liberated gives me some hope for the rest of this tour.

I went to the show last night. Pretty solid show. Not my favorite. But we had fun. They played a couple of new songs, sexy MFer, and Shotgun. I guess Shotgun hadn't been played in a while on tour. Would have liked it a little more if they'd substituted Two Step or Proudest Monkey for a couple of the songs on the setlist.
Our seats were around the older crowd there. Pretty close. We were within about 5 seats from catching a drumstick. We didn't have to put up with any bros either.

Great bust out and one of their best songs. Hadn't been played since 2013.

Still one of my favorite bands, zero fricks given if they have taken on a "douche bag" persona.
Been listening to them since Remember Two Things.
Saw them at Jazz Fest in 2000 and it was a great show.
Hope to see them again soon.
Crash is for sure their best album.
Two Step GOAT Dave song, followed by the Stone.

My last DMB concert was at Hangout. I know this will sound like something right out of some OT baw's alter fantasy land, but it's 1000% true. My friends and I still talk about it to this day.
We left maybe 30 minutes early to beat the traffic (and we had one friend who was just blitzed). Little did we know he was nowhere near as bad off as some at this show. As we're walking on the sand away from the show we see this loose circle of people and a couple of cops standing around. We approach assuming there's a fight or something.
In the middle of all this there was a completely naked, pretty hot girl (IRL 8 with a great body) just going to town, finger blasting herself porno style. She was moaning and screaming to the point you could hear her over the blaring concert. I have no clue wtf sort of drugs she was on, but I never want to try them ever (and by that I mean I want to try them tomorrow only never in public).
The cops standing around clearly had no clue what to do. You could see the "ummm we didn't cover this shite in training" look on all their faces. They would toss a blanket over her and she'd just kick it off and keep going. She's on her back, full spread eagle, just going to town.
It was one of the weirdest, hot but not at all things I've ever seen. You could tell everyone wanted to watch intently but it almost felt wrong cause this chick had no clue what planet she was on. We watched for a bit and then have to leave.
Needless to say I'm always up for a DMB concert ha!
