Well Mikey has been dead since '02 so that throws a slight curveball. Just glad they didn't have to resort to sappy love songs to make that extra buck. I won't judge you or your white jeep.

Yeah, pretty much. Quick, true story. Girl I was dating before I met my wife was a pretty big DMB fan. This was circa 2000, and I had long before moved on from DMB, but to please her I agreed to go see them with her at Turner Field that summer. I figured I'd just smoke myself stupid and enjoy the show. We parked next to these bros from UGA, and though they weren't in a white Jeep(red 4Runner), they fit the previous description to a T. Pounding Natty Light, talking about how messed up they were going to get, talking about all the hot girls walking around, the whole nine yards. Girl and I just pretty much ignored them. Head inside, and goddamn if their seats weren't right in front of us. As soon as they smelled me smoking up, they were on me like white on rice. After them badgering me the entire 1st set, I finally loaded a bowl for them hoping it'd shut them up. 2 of them passed out 2 songs into the 2nd set.

I forgot about them bumming cigarettes off me in the parking lot, and one of them waking up when they closed with Ants Marching. I had been dating this girl for almost 2 years and had never heard her make fun of anyone until that night.

Saw them in Australia a couple years ago. They play mostly songs you would know, they missed a few of their hits

I like both, or should say I liked both. I think DMB are collectively better musicians, but I always had more fun at Panic shows.
I don't really listen to much of either anymore though.

I dig both as well.
As far as musical talent, who knows...DMB sure as hell has the better drummer, Panic absolutely has the better bassist, lead singers are preference, panic has the better lead guitarist (if you include when Tim plays with Dave), Dave has a cool horn section, Panic has the solid percussion addition to the sound.
I have more fun at Panic, but there was a time in my life where I would've said the opposite. So who am I to judge...?

My last DMB concert was at Hangout. I know this will sound like something right out of some OT baw's alter fantasy land, but it's 1000% true. My friends and I still talk about it to this day.
We left maybe 30 minutes early to beat the traffic (and we had one friend who was just blitzed). Little did we know he was nowhere near as bad off as some at this show. As we're walking on the sand away from the show we see this loose circle of people and a couple of cops standing around. We approach assuming there's a fight or something.
In the middle of all this there was a completely naked, pretty hot girl (IRL 8 with a great body) just going to town, finger blasting herself porno style. She was moaning and screaming to the point you could hear her over the blaring concert. I have no clue wtf sort of drugs she was on, but I never want to try them ever (and by that I mean I want to try them tomorrow only never in public).
The cops standing around clearly had no clue what to do. You could see the "ummm we didn't cover this shite in training" look on all their faces. They would toss a blanket over her and she'd just kick it off and keep going. She's on her back, full spread eagle, just going to town.
It was one of the weirdest, hot but not at all things I've ever seen. You could tell everyone wanted to watch intently but it almost felt wrong cause this chick had no clue what planet she was on. We watched for a bit and then have to leave.

Saw the same thing. Had a video on my old phone for a while. that was one of the craziest weekends of my life.
I also like DMB, WSP, And Phish. dmb is just my favorite of the three.
