I figured some would feel that way. My opinion is based largely on my belief of how good Darius is as a vocalist vs the guy from OCMS.

I actually couldn't stand Hootie and the blowfish when they were a thing. I just got so sick of them. That being said, I totally dig Darius as a country artist.
I get your point though...there's enough difference where the original is almost a different genre of music completely.

What's awesome music in your opinion? Just curious.
Before you even answer I'll tell you that my musical tastes run the gamut from bands like Zac Brown, Darius Rucker, and Miranda Lambert (and Garth, George, etc as noted in the what are you listening to thread) to Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters, and shite...I love 80s, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra. All sorts of stuff.
