This has been beaten to death on this board, but to reiterate what everyone else is saying:

Nashville Pop sucks
There is amazing country music out there if you try to find it.

I saw Hayes Carll last night. No production, no BS, just a guitar. He was amazing.

You mean they don't play old Uncle Tupelo, Steve Earl and Hank III?

What are you going to tell me next, pop radio doesn't play Wilco (got Tweedy in both genres!), Arcade Fire and Death Cab for Cutie?

Or maybe I just created a new genre of "hipster" radio.

I've been grilling, drinking and listening to Hayes Carll all morning/day. It's been a good day

My new country obsession: Bruce Robison and Kelly Willis. So badass.

I've paid to see two country shows in the last three years and they were both George Strait. Average age of his band: probably 45.

If any of you talk trash about King George you'll die in flames.

Hard to imagine y'all haven't heard of them before now. They have been around for years. Look up Bruce's brother Charlie also.

Heard of them but didn't see them live until last night when they opened for Hayes. They were AWESOME.

Had the absolute privilege of seeing George a few weeks back. Just an incredible show.
