Chicago?

Seems weird, i guess just the nostalgia of playing where the last dead show was.

I was hoping they would do something in nyc as well.

"We had to sort through a number of options," says Weir. "Were we going to do a festival-style event or go back to our classic mode of an evening with the band? We narrowed it down to: Let's just do it simple and clean."

No official announcement I don't think, I just scanned the article.

Dead50.net goes online in five minutes and that will have the official announcement I think

Weir's quote implies that they aren't, but Shapiro is the guy who does Lockn' so i guess there is still a chance.

From the site...

Can't wait for this. Hope they do more shows. Doesn't look like they will tho. I was hoping for a show or two with Kimock.

any suggestions on hotels or where to stay ?

not looking to spend $300 per night, and definitely want to avoid $39 night "pay by the hour" places

I had back stage passes to the '95 Soldier Field shows and like an idiot, decided at the last minute not to go b/c it was a 14 hr road trip. A decision that still haunts me to this day

CP, your plan ticket was around $300-350 RT ??

I'll be flying out of Laffy > ATL > CHI and quotes from Priceline are similar to those above

I have a 75 yr old great aunt that lives in CHI who I'm sure watches Archie Bunker and The Waltons re-runs and goes to bed at 8pm Maybe she can spare a couch
