Who? Stone? Maybe not but I didn't want all of the Texas/alt country figs jumping up here in this thread. Whatever era it was between 1989 to 1996 or so is the era I'm talking about. Call it classic or traditional or whatever. You get my drift.

Nice avatar. I found this picture on FB of Conway playing at the Music Box in Gonzales.

Travis Tritt Country Club album is one of my favorite albums of all time.

Outstanding Post

My two favorite hits off that album(and just two of my favorite Tritt hits in general):

Drift Off To Dream

Help Me Hold on

Then off his next album it was:

Anymore

If Hell Had a Jukebox is a very underrated song of his, in my opinion.

This is my favorite song off TROUBLE:

Can I Trust You With My Heart

There were several songs off Ten Feet Tall and Bulletproof

One person I haven't seen mentioned is Ty Herndon. I know he fell off the wagon in his personal life but I sure loved...

Living in a Moment
What Mattered Most
Loved Too Much
A Man Holding On
Hands of A Woring Man

Another one that lost it was Doug Supernaw. Was also a big fan of his.

Reno
I Don't Call Him Daddy
Not Enough Hours in the Night

and Rhett Akins "That Aint My Truck" are probably my two favorite songs of all time - any genre. I grew up in the 90s (Im assuming most in this thread have as well) and those two songs were my anthems back then. Almost every country music playlist or CD (or cassette tape back then) I have made since then has contained these two.

I believe that era to which you are referring is considered the neo-traditionalist country era launched principally by Randy Travis and Alan Jackson, Clint Black, Garth, etc.

It was a good era, whatever it was.

I liked Herndon too. As well as Supernaw.

Liked Wade Hayes too
