I'm not sure if you would consider Genesis as classic rock, but I hate them (and everything by Phil Collins solo).

There are many that I don't like, but I don't hate them and may like the odd song.. Prob the biggest two are LZ and Hendrix (yes, I think he's talented, no problem with him and he's a great guitar player... But I really don't enjoy the songs)

Despise The Doors though...

Kinda surprised a lot of the bands listed are classic rock... I guess it's all relative..

Most of the English bands; Beatles, Stones, Who, Kinks, etc. The only English band that I like is Maiden.

What happened to them after Morrison died?

Well, Ray Manzarek became a producer and he produced one of the greatest albums ever recorded in Los Angeles by X. So he's got that going for him.

I'm not in love with either Manzarek or Densmore, I'm just saying I don't think they are hacks. Morrison was. I f'n hate his high school poetry.

I don't much like the Foreginer, Boston, Jounrey grouping people are bring up, but I just don't like that style of music. Way too clean of a sound for my tastes. I like my rock n roll dirty sounding. But I don't hate them or anything, I just wouldn't ever listen to their music by choice and I don't own any of their albums.

To me, Classic Rock is anything before Grunge since grunge's influence is still extremely heavy in modern music (Deftones "Tempest" comes to mind) especially relative to 80s Glam.

Gotcha, I consider it 70s or bands that started in the 70s and went into the 80s... I separate 80s and Hair Metal... Granted, this is probably my interpretation to keep things in order, in my own mind... I haven't listened to much radio in the past 25 years, and my definition is kinda going off that time frame and classic rock radio...

Nah, I think most people do. Hair metal is pop metal or metal lite IMO. Not saying there weren't songs I liked but I have to separate it from what I consider classic rock or even heavy metal.

I could listen to Stairway every day and not get tired of it. Never liked Freebird.

I don't dislike the songs, they are great songs. But when you hear them every day, every day growing up they become somewhat stale. I don't mind hearing them once a month or so but hell, mix in some :

Five to One - Doors
Gallows Pole - Zep
Heartbreaker - Grand Funk
Magic Bus - Who

You hardly ever hear those on terrestrial radio.
