Anyone listen to Christian rock? Alot of them have mainstream songs/cd's.
Red has a new cd out this week and its #1 on Billboard rock albums and #7 on the top 200.
Skillet, Red, Flyleaf, POD, Thousand Foot Krutch, Switchfoot, Underoath, Devil Wears Prada (and other screamo's)have had much success in the secular/mainstream business. There are others.
Not popular on mainstream...but Pillar, Kutless, Demon Hunter, Fireflight, Disciple, are pretty good while Stryper started it all

Im not into the screamo. Demon Hunter is about as much as I can handle.
I know As I lay dying, Norma Jean, The Chariot,August Burns Red, War of Ages, are some popular screamos....I just dont listen to them. I have seen Haste the Day in concert, but I dont think they are together anymore

Wow...(mortification)

As for concerts, Skillet has gotta be one of the best shows in any genre. Amazing show and pyrotechnics. Having 2 women in the band is sweet too.
Red puts on a good show also.

Ryno, nothing wrong with that. I like alot of that too. Prob more than the rock.

Here is another one for Demon Hunter...they get me pumped up and have some sick instrumentalists. Not all big on some of the screamo stuff, but they are legit.

Saw Red in concert twice, they rock live!

I've only heard Flyleaf's mainstream stuff. Never realized they were considered a Christian rock band. That singer chick parties all over Dallas.

I don't know about the partying, but yeah I had no idea they were Christian. As I Lay Dying is too?

First time posting.

Love Red, Flyleaf, Fireflight, Pillar, Thousand Foot Krutch, Decyfer Down, Nine Lashes, Blindside, Sevethn Seal, Disciple, and Jeremy Camp (in his earlier days and a few singles here and there but his worship stuff is pretty good too).

I have to say, Christian rock has come A LONG way. I'm constantly amazed at the number of songs I currently possess that are actually Christian artists.

Skillet puts on one of the best shows out there. They'll be here in Valdosta, GA this summer. Already plan on going to see them....again.

Kutless is another one of my favorites.

I highly doubt the partying stuff.
Flyleaf does alot of Christian festivals, and their 2nd CD called momento memri (something like that) is full of Christian lyrics and songs about Jesus. One of Third Day's top songs has her doing guest vocals also.

They're from Denton. Maybe not now... but when "Fully Alive" was hot - I used to see that chick out in Deep Ellum all the time. First hand reporting here.
