For anyone who is still interested TMZ reporting Cornell had fresh and obvious "track marks" on his arms when found. His road manager said he was fricked up and our of his mind that night.

I wondered if falling off the wagon might have done it.

Maybe? A relapse at 52 has to be depressing as hell.

Or was this so pre meditated that he had some heroin to make hanging himself seem/feel easier?

No toxicology yet, right? Substances and blood levels will be sadly interesting.

Do you know if they did any black light testing to see if there was semen on the floor?

Glad I got to see him at voodoo when Soundgarden first reformed. They played all the classics. Great show

I was at that one too. That was a great weekend and saw a lot of bands I'll never be able to see again. Soundgarden, Blink (though they were pretty washed up), Raconteurs, MCR.

Soundgarden is one of the few bands I liked in my youth and didn't grow out of. On the contrary my appreciation for them grew as I grew older. They have pretty my always been in my top 3 and my favorite of that cluster of grunge bands.

Just feels so sudden. They were working on a new album and doing a tour. And then bam. Just gone. And suicide of all things. Man. Just RIP. Music industry has lost a legend. The amount of artists from all ends of the spectrum paying tribute to him at their concerts just goes to show how important he was to the industry. His music will live on, it stands the test of time and then some.

Different clips of the final show are all over youtube. He definitely is slurred at times. Hair is frickED up. And he is shuffling around. Can't remember the song but during one song he is looking down at the neck of his guitar quite a bit more than you'd expect a professional musician to. Especially playing a song he's played for 10-20 years.

Just sad. Whole other reason those guys in the band are probably fricked up emotionally. They've seen plenty of guys loaded on heroin in their careers. Or been loaded themselves. They had to know he was using. Probably waiting for the right time to talk to him.
