Sad. Soundgarden was one of my all time favorite bands. I absolutely wore Badmotorfinger and Superunknown OUT back in high school. Chris was one of the last of the stratospheric Rock God voices. RIP

Yes tragic I'm 50 and was totally blown away by the sound out of Seattle back in the early 90s. For me the big 3 were:
Soundgarden, Nirvana and Pearl Jam in no particular order. Very sad news.
