Dude can get after it.... I've listened to a few of his songs, but never caught him live. To say it was a pleasant surprise would be an understatement.

He popped a couple strings, but never checked up. I'll definitely try to catch him more often and listen to more of his stuff.

Gave a good back story on how he went to LSU and spent all of his time at Tabbys

Same here. Had never seen him, but his show last night was great. He's got a tight group with the drummer and bass player.

A really good show.

Did Eric Johanson make an appearance? He just finished recording his first blues album at Tab's studio with Tab on drums and Corey on bass.

Easy on the hot takes. He's a fantastic guitarist and a good drummer.

he's a great guitarist but I saw him play drums in a police tribute band and he blew everyone away with how good he was.

That dude can play and he has a great tone. I'm looking forward to this album.

As for Tab, nobody has more energy on stage than he does. He can go all night if he has to.

Enjoy Tab's trio format, but much prefer when he brings in other musicians, like a keyboard or harmonica. Check out Whiskey Store Live or Night Train to Nashville.

Somewhat. What he's doing now sounds nothing like either of those.

I saw him in the Maple Leaf one afternoon at Po Boy Fest and really liked his sound. Knew nothing about him so I mentioned him here and someone pointed me toward those projects. I definitely like them but I'm a blues guy so I like the new stuff more.

Always wanted to see him live. I crank his CD up in my truck every once in a while. Sac Au Lait fishing, Shelter Me, Night Train, and The Blues Is Here To Stay...can't beat it.

That was probably me. I'm a big fan of his Emptyself stuff. Hoping he doesn't abandon that sound entirely.

That percussive solo in Boat Launch Baby is amazing live.
