What are the board’s thoughts about her and her style of music? The new album is called Jaime and the first single is ‘stay high’.

Below is the link to her performance of ‘Stay High’

It’s fine enough. It seems the obvious progression from her.

I did like the curveball that was her thunderbitch project

She's got a great voice, but damn, she needs better songs.

Also..she's the same age as my oldest daughter, and looks 20 years older. I feel bad for her.

I probably knew her parents, when we were growing up.

I think it's great. Really original and unique sound. She's incredibly talented.

Yes to all of this. She does take some chances with this record, and it works. She is a special talent, and the music industry is blessed to have her.

I'm lukewarm on her. She's ok. I just don't find her music very interesting.

Boring. She better find a songwriter or she is done.

Love Alabama Shakes. They are fantastic live too, mainly because of Brittany.

That was good. If you dont like soul music then you're not going to like it but that was a good old school song with a Leon Bridges feel.

Man, I love her voice, but I keep waiting for a real groove and she never gets in it.

That’s the thing with her. I don’t think I’ve ever “turned the station” on the shakes when they come on but I’d be hard pressed to come up with the last time I thought to myself l could really go for a shakes tune right now.

They are talented. She is talented. I just rarely find what she does compelling beyond a surface level enjoyment

Respectfully disagree. Seen them twice and both times I left because it was so boring. I do like their studio stuff though

I have always loved old soul and R&B, but her stuff is too crowded, and doesn't have the same feel. That's my complaint. Sometimes, you can let too many words, get in the way of a great song. I would like to see her get together with a really great producer, who could straighten that out.

Her voice has such potential, it's a shame, not to make the most of it.

Fair enough. They definitely dont jam out and get excited, I guess I was just meaning how her voice sounds really good live, not necessarily their act.

Some of the songs I really dig.

But some of them are unlistenable to me. HOWEVER, I respect her attempts to get outside of the box on some of said songs. She is at least TRYING to be interesting, unique, and fresh.
