Can we all agree he is the worst musican to ever sing a song. Man this dude sucks balls. All his crap is just plane stupid and he can't sing worth a damn. But people love him and he is rich. So he must be doing something right

He is a talented guitar player, and some of his early work was good. It seems like more recently he has gone for the novelty hits - Ticks, Camouflage, Celebrity.
I think with his instrument abilities, if he had picked/written better songs he could have been sorta like Vince Gill, very talented and in demand to play on other people's albums as well as have a nice catalog of songs.

First off, your spelling is fricking terrible. Second, he is not the worst singer. Not even fricking close. His old stuff was actually really awesome. His recent stuff hasn't been that good, but overall he is a pretty good musician and is a fantastic guitar player. You would have to be an idiot to think he is the worst singer ever. He isn't even close to being the worst singer in his genre of music. Florida Georgia Line, Brantley Gilbert, and Sam Hunt are way way worse.

He has some redeeming characteristics:
1. He never takes himself seriously. He doesn't really see himself as an artist, just a guy getting paid ridiculous amounts of money to do what he loves.
2. His songs have a sense of humor. Many of them are puns or play on words (Outstanding in Our Field, Riverbank. They are often very light-hearted satire (I'm Just a Guy, Lowlifes, Death of a Single Man, Celebrity, So Much Cooler Online, ect). One can appreciate the humor even if the music's not very good.
3. He's an incredibly talented guitar player. He's not really my style, but his country/rockabilly picking is really a thing of beauty.
For the above reasons, he's one of the few popular country "artists" I can tolerate.

he's more talented than bryan, aldean, etc. my only gripe about BP is that he overplays his leads a lot. sometimes 5 notes aren't as impressive as 2 notes.

I don't care much for the young country - he is a rare talent - guitar wise - who could have played with, but not better than some of the better pickers of the old school era - Atkins, Reed, Campbell - he would be in the next tier - but could not hold a candle to those cats as a songwriter.

I agree most of his songs are cheesy and contrived, but he is a great musician. His guitar skills are up there with the best.
