agreed. The fact that they have a violin player puts them over the top.
DMB also has a a much cooler fanbase IMO. Panic fans are really sketchy

ehh.. I mean Dave does have some fans that I wouldn't necessarily want to associate myself with.

Neither band has written a song worth a frick in over a decade.
I did have a blast at Oak Mountain a few weeks ago for Panic. One of the big reasons is that they played almost zero post Houser songs. Panic need Jerry Joseph and Sam Holt writing music for them asap because while JB can write a good lyric, it's painfully obvious that the music died with Houser. Herring is a talented dude but he can't write music. His solo stuff is a fricking beating.
Dave is Dave. He's got some songs I think are fricking rad and then u turn around and there's 15 year old girls crying to every lyric in Satellite and Crash Into Me.
Give me Panic for their 86-02 song catalog. I have much more fun at a decent Panic show.

Panic is the better jam band...and I'm not a huge fan of theirs.

Yeah the only DMB song I consistently listen to that was written over the past 10 years is "Lying in the Hands of God"
