What do you consider to be the best line of lyric in a song? Keep it to a single line.
For me it's "she was my best friend, and it broke my heart, but I don't regret the day that she became, one of those I've loved along the way." -Eric Church, Those I've Loved Along the Way
"He could have had something much better, God knows, than a half empty bottle of Wild Irish Rose"-George Jones also gets me. There are my two favorites at the moment. What about you?

Yes, there's two paths you can go by, but in the long run there's still time to change the road you're on

Best line from that song, no doubt. And absolutely true as well.

All lies and jest, still, a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest. - The Boxer
Also, the obvious OT choice would be:
'I like big butts and I cannot lie'

Looking hard into your eyes
There was nobody I'd ever known
Such an empty surprise to feel so alone
(actually, all the lyrics and David Lindley's guitar... have mercy!)
Jackson Browne - Late For the Sky
You wave your hand and they scatter like crows
They have nothing that will ever capture your heart
They're just thorns without the rose
Be careful of them in the dark
Tom Waits - Downtown Train

You run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking.
Racing around to come up behind you again.
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older.
Shorter of breath, one day closer to death- Time, Pink Floyd.

Yeah, been to GP's grave once. Any fan in this part of the country should try to go at least once -- you know, like Mecca.
I got the location of the grave from an online site -- which was wrong. So I wandered around looking at graves for awhile until I finally went up to the main building/mausoleum and luckily found a caretaker. I asked him where grave B67R24 (or whatever the number was) was located.
He replied, "Oh, you looking for Gram Parsons?"
He gave me a sheet of paper with the location marked on a map. Apparently enough fans come, especially from Europe, to make it necessary.
Right next to GP is a guy who died around 1976 at about age 25. His marker reads -- I kid you not...
THE COOKIE MONSTER
Still haven't been to Doug Sahm's grave. But next time I'm in San Antone...

My very first live-in girlfriend, way back in the '80s, played guitar and knew Simon's whole catalogue. She was sort of a drug whore, but hey, we all have our failings.
For the GP fans, ". . . and I saw my devil, and I saw my deep blue sea, . . and I thought about a calico bonnet, from Cheyenne to Tennessee. . .

Went back in the 90's and a friend brought tracing paper and some pencils... made t-shirts... kinda silly, I know...
