Been fooling around with an electric for a while now. I get most of the general concepts of scales and power chords, but I’m having trouble finding some fun songs on my level (beyond stuff like Smoke on the Water or Nirvana/Green Day songs) that i can really learn more from and use for a little advancement.

Any suggestions? Any genre really but love classic and 90s rock

CCR songs are generally pretty straightforward. Also, if you're into playing around with alternative tunings, Goo Goo Dolls songs are accessible. I'm not very good, though.

Don't know if this fits your musical tastes or your "classic" window, but I first started really making progress on the guitar by playing along with Bon Scott-era AC/DC, Judas Priest and especially Def Leppard's "High and Dry."

There are many 3-4 chord song books on amazon. Also many vids on the YouTube for all skill levels.

Could always try rocksmkth on computer or gaming console.

I learned how to play by covering Oasis songs back in the day.
