Bayou Country Superfest is a joke

Long story short I got some free tickets from a distributor my company does business with so I said screw it and went... My god that was a mistake as soon as I walk in tiger stadium all I see is the typical bro country dudes who think that wearing cut off flannel and boots makes them country. This festival perfectly shows the decline of country music with the people it attracts...

I was there Saturday night for FL/GA Line and Kenny Chesney. Second time going to BCSF, both times were because someone gave me free tickets. I don't think it is any secret that country music has become pop music with funny hats, hell I'm not even a big contemporary country fan, but I had a pretty dang good time. Kenny was rockin'.

I took my daughters and a few friends this year and all I can say is yike. The crowd was about like I expected it to be but the music...... holy shite, the music. It was just all so bad and most of it sounded the same. Kenny Chesney was fun when he did old school stuff but the crowd was only fired up at the beginning of his set. After about 5 songs people were sitting on their hands. The Sunday lineup was a joke. The crowd was flat the entire day/night. I don't know what kind of crowds they were getting in the past but it wasn't overly crowded. It seems like a pretty major production that would be very easy to lose money on if you're not selling out both days. Chesney and Aldean don't play for free whiskey and burgers.
Now, I'd like to specifically call out these Dan & Shay douche bags. People like to rip FGL but these two take the cake. They don't get half the shite they deserve. Literally everything they sang was a whiney cuck song. My girls were making fun of them the whole time. There's no way these two "guys" aren't plowing each other on the tour bus.

That's pretty much how it was for all of the acts before Chesney and Aldean. No one really paid attention except to a few of the bigger songs from the other artists. It was a really weird concert experience.

This is not just particular to country music. With the exception of a great underground scene that will STAY that way, rock and hip hop have also been replaced by sugary and watery bullshite.
Let me ask yall this -- would Tom Petty or Ringo Starr or Roy Orbison be playing to flocks of teenage girls? College girls for that matter? In 2019?
