I would have voted Broken Rubber Band or Captain Green, but BRB just broke up and Captain Green often does just instrumental stuff.
What's with the Chris Leblanc hate? He's a very gifted guitar player?
Also, Benjey Davis (other than "Cajun Crawfish Boil") is a pretty gifted singer/songwriter/guitar player.

the problem with this list:
he plays in a COVER band. but yet he is on top of the "best original band" list... baloney
defunct band, and their songs were trash as well as benjy himself being a douchebag.
good band, but they are from new orleans, and reside there
so basically, 3 fricking strikes Baton Rouge.
