Bands that Jam

What jam bands do you listen to, and which band put on the best show you've seen? This also includes bands that may be associated with other genres in addition to jam such as STS9, Lettuce, and The Allman Brothers.

Used to be a big DMB fan but not so much anymore. Still they do put on a good show.
Panic of course.
Also a big fan of SCI but when they start up with their Celtic EDM stuff, I lose interest pretty fast. As long as they stick to bluegrass and funk tunes, I'm in.
I like Lettuce but haven't seen them live yet.
And I was a yuge ABB fan.
Not sure if Gov't Mule and TTB fall into the jam category but they're two of my favorite bands these days.

Leftover Salmon doesn't get mentioned enough.

Dead
ABB
Phish
Panic
Mule
Ween (a band that jams, but not a jamband)
that's about it.
I try to watch Phish couch tour when they are on tour if I can find a bootleg stream. I'm in with the nnjimmy group so I almost always have a link.
I haven't even really tried Umphrey's, Spafford, Pigeons playing ping pong or any of the newer batch that has come along in the last 15 years or so. SCI is always fun but I get bored pretty quick.

oh yea. I agree with this. If I had to name the most fun I ever had at a concert I'd probably say a LOS show. Maybe a couple of them.

Absolutely. Those guys are nuts.
Here's a story from Telluride Bluegrass Festival several years ago. I was with a group who were camping in Town Park and it was late at night. We were sitting around our campsite drinking beer. [We are all homebrewers so we each had brought a couple of kegs to share.] Right next to our campsite was a path that goes up into the rest of the campsite. In previous years this path was unobstructed but they had put a post in the middle of it to restrict it to pedestrian traffic.
All of a sudden there's a lot of commotion over on the pathway. We get up to see what's going on and there's an electric cart stopped in front of the post with most of Leftover Salmon (and their instruments) in it. It reminded me of a clown car with like 5 or 6 guys in a golf cart. They were headed to a campsite up at the other end of Town Park but they couldn't get past the post that they weren't expecting to find in the middle of the path. A couple of them had bailed out during the emergency stop and were rolling around on the ground laughing.
So we invited them to hang with us and drink some homebrew, which they did, and repaid us by playing some music for us. Finally they left to find the camp they were looking for in the first place. Really fun dudes.

Legit CSB.
I've only seen them once, but had a great time at the show.

SCI is my favorite band. Most on here don’t like them, to each their own. But, I have loved them for a while. They always put on a great show and can jam. They are also known for their crazy lights and on stage performances. You may not truly like them just by listening to them on Spotify. Try watching a couple YouTube videos or definitely go to a live show. They are great. Billy, Kang Kong, Moose, Kyle, Jason, and Michael them boys can rock.

Forgot to mention CBDB but I've seen them twice at a bar here in Auburn and they put on one hell of a show

Chicks love DMB, but I only enjoy about 3 or 4 of their songs

Old SCI is phenomenal but I'm in agreement with you regarding their new stuff. Not a fan of their current EDM phase.

My buddy saw them at Red Rocks and it looked insane

My #2 favorite band. Grew up listening to them and haven't ever stopped.

I'd say Gov't Mule absolutely does but TTB kinda fits within its own unique genre.

Can't really make my mind up on Twiddle, I'd have to see them live.
