feel lucky I saw srv in bham a few months before he died with Joe Cocker. It was really good. They split the opening duties. SRV opened that night but played with Cocker the whole time. Pretty cool. Died 2-3 months later.
maybe 60% full

The ones I could have seen (with a major effort, yeah). And I regret not doing that:
The Who
Zappa
Jethro Tull
Elton John
All in the 70's. (Argh!).

I can't imagine seeing the stones in the early/mid 70s

He's touring now. Go see him!

I saw these three. Did not see Television. I don't think they ever hit the southern states except for maybe Texas once.

I've seen several thousand bands. The two bands that I never got to see live that I'm a serious fan of was Hendrix and INXS.

Pink Floyd. I skipped the 94 show at Rice stadium and they never toured again.

Damn, I was already an old fart when I heard of Linkin Park. I must be ancient.

INx was an excellent live band.
I lucked out and saw Hendrix just before I started college. Somehow e got front row center tickets. Lotta drugs around me.

Carry over from another thread, but the Cranberries

Same story for me with Linkin Park. Loved them in high school and just never made it to a show in the years since.
Of current artists, Daft Punk is top of my list. That’s especially difficult since they tour so infrequently

Ozzy with the great Randy Rhoads.
Thanks Ossie Brown.

I saw them in 94. I also saw Rogers show about 20 years ago.
Im still waiting on an opportunity to see David live. That is my #1 bucket list person to see.
There may be one more chance before he totally hangs it up next year.

Stevie Ray Vaughn. Died about a week before I was supposed to go see him.
Iron Maiden. Love Maiden but have somehow missed them over the years. Still time to correct that.
Saw Stevie, never got to see Johnny Winter. Wish I'd seen Skynyrd with the original lineup or with the Street Survivors lineup of Gaines, Collins, Rossington, Van Zant, Pyle, Powell and Wilkenson...., I messed up not getting off my arse and seeing that band in their prime.

My most wanted band to see live was Alice in Chains. I was convinced to go to Woodstock '94 because Alice in Chains was on the bill. They canceled after I got tickets.
At Woodstock, some people unfurled a huge banner saying "Alice in Chains, where are you?" Little did we know the real troubles of Layne Staley.
I don't think they ever performed again live, and I never got to see them. Sucks.
ETA: They did perform live after 1994, but not many times, and not on a complete tour. Their "Unplugged" performance in 1996 was their first appearance in two and a half years and one of their last with Staley in front.

The best frontman thread reminded me that if I had to give one of my nuts to see just one concert anywhere, at anytime it would have been J. Geils Band at either Cobo Hall or Boston Garden in the mid 1970s.
