Jay Z has a good flow.. I'm saying 2 pac speaks the truth in rap. I agree Biggie is close but not ahead of pac

I have a hard time listening to christian rap. The genre became popular for its gansta-ness. Hard for me to dig it in a religious context

I can totally understand that

I really mostly listen to rap for the beat/sound. The lyrics are almost a bonus (depending on the artist). Some of the Christian rappers I actually started listening to in a secular context because they kept an "edge" to what they were doing.

idk, the christian genre is kind of an amoeba, anyways Lecrae does have some good stuff though even if someone's not religious they can dig.

Eminem hands down

In terms of rhyming and putting lyrics together, no one else is close. Such incredible talent.

Biggie is good, but a little overrated IMO. Kanye is underrated all time. Not the best rapper ever but he has made some really great music. I wish he wasn't such a weird douchebag.

Ever? Biggie

Now? MF Doom

My initial thoughts as well. Doom doesn't get much play around here though, because of his style. He's more so an acquired taste, and half the shite he says goes right over most peoples heads.
Kendrick Lamar is probably the best household name in rap, currently.

Eminem has been one of the best recently, though I'm not a huge fan of all his latest work.
Kanye West, as far as talent is one of the best in the business, considering his total skill set.
Outkast is the best group, IMO. Andre 3000 is also one of the best rappers in recent times. Big Boi great as well as a solo artist.

K so I guess you don't like Eminem. That's fine. But if you don't think he is talented, you're stupid. And wrong.

Eminem's best albums were under his persona of slim shady.

I respect him and listen to a select few of his songs, but his voice gets annoying to me. In my opinion his flow is irritating and yelling in nature

Tupac is the best.

It would be Biggie but since he is no longer with us he is disqualified from consideration.

As others have said, I'd agree with MF Doom for right now

Nas is still one of the best around. Same with Jay

Pac was the best all time
