still have a Pioneer double cassette deck. It might be time to dust it off and see if it still works, which I would guess it does

I remember my blank Maxwell tapes would run forever and the cheap arse free tapes I got from Columbia house would develop chipmunks within a year.

thing i remember most is columbia couldn't even be bothered to send you the real cassette art they sold in stores.
instead you got this SHITTY red-lined 'ink jet' version of the cover and a tiny little print of the album artwork.
cheap much, columbia?
it was embarrassing when a friend opened my cassette tape box and it was half full of these.
its like i got the tapes from a guy on the street corner.

Maxell UDXL-I and II were the only ones I ever used. The ones I bought back in the '70s still work even thought they were played in an inexpensive car cassette player and subject to heat, humidity, and cold since I rarely took them indoors.
Not to sidetrack the topic, but reel to reels are making a comeback, too.
I used my cassettes in the car, and the reel to reel at home. Played the albums once or twice to record them and they were rarely used again.

I remember splurging and buying the 10 pack which sometimes included an 11th cassette tape for free. I ordered lots of high-end stuff from J&R Music World because they had great prices. I did lots of trading of Grateful Dead bootlegs.
I'm sure many of us took apart the tape housing to repair tapes that got Fk'd up in the deck.
any how many remember doing this ?
I still have a Nakamichi and Denon dual tape deck which haven't been used in a while.

you can get a bluetooth cassette player cheaper than a phone. prob not a bad thing for a kid instead of a phone full of porn and trannies.

I bought Charlie Crocketts live album on cassette recently. Simply to occupy the tape deck in my GX470. Sounds great.

I hope not. I don’t have any more BIC pens.

I bo8ght those XLII90's by the case. So many Dead and Radiators shows in the collection, and they still play back great.

So, you wouldn't consider a Tandberg TCD 3014(A) aka "St George the Dragon Slayer?"
