Apparently Post Malone is better than the Beatles and Michael Jackson.

The first time I heard of this guy was this morning.

Breaks MJ record on Billboard R & B chart

I would be willing to bet that, although I won't be around, people will still be listening to Michael Jackson and the Beatles in 35 years, while Post Malone will be thought of in terms of Sheb Wooly or the Starland Vocal Band.

And yes. All you goat frickers can get off my lawn.

Getting old is an odd thing. After Nu Metal died, I stopped looking most new popular music. Then I look back and realize nu metal sucked. Yet it was what we listened to at that time.

The backstreet boys sold a ton of records. Doesn't mean they're better than anyone.

MJ was all based on sales alone. This is not

by Michael Jackson's Thriller. However, it should be noted that the 1982 masterpiece was released in the pre-streaming era, so MJ's magnum opus did not have track equivalent album units or streaming equivalent album units calculated into its weekly placement on the chart. Its tracking was based solely on pure sales.

The classic LP by the King of Pop still sits atop the list of albums with the most weeks at #1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart with 37 weeks.

Really he didn't break Michael's record since they altered how they tally it.

Nothing to see here and fake news

Rae Sremmurd is better than Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson shouldn’t be a standard. His music is overrated

Agreed but saying Post Malone beat a record they no longer have the same criteria with is disingenuous

Post Malone is easy to look at and just judge him as a douchebag based on how ridiculous he looks but I actually think he’s pretty good. Kinda my guilty pleasure of modern music. He kinda listens to lots of different genres of music and I like that.

Slim Whitman had the No. 1 record in England for more weeks than even Elvis and The Beatles.

He was also a mailman in Bossier City.
