Bought my ticket a few days back. Haven't seen them live since they performed at The Caterie many moons ago.

Wow, not seen them since '91. How do they sound now? Recent sets?

You're going straight to hell. Just like your mama said.

From what I’ve heard and read they sound better than ever. We shall see.

If I had to pick two bands that most represented white people in BR in the 90’s, it’d be Gin Blossoms and Drivin’ n’ cryin’

Every white guy I’ve ever met who went to LSU in the 90’s loves those two bands.
I had to specify white folks because Cash Money Records was really big in the 90’s, too.

Does Sturgill Simpson’s former guitarist still play with them? Never understood that downward trajectory.

I saw them right after he joined and he’s phenomenal- very under the radar talent. Saw him with Sturgill as well. Great complement to both artists.

I saw them about 4 years ago. Sounded great!

Saw DnC a few years ago at Mid City Ballroom, and he was spectacular. I think he really elevated the band. That may have been the last time they played in Baton Rouge. They were supposed to play Bandito Fest, but that got postponed a few times.
I hope to make the show on the 8th

I'll be there rocking my blue Mystery Road shirt

Laur Joamets is just freaking amazing. I’ve seen them three times now with him. What a pull for Kevn to get him to join. Underground Umbrella in Orlando was some of the best live guitar I’ve seen. Worth the time to watch if interested. His lead starts around 1:47 and just builds to a crescendo of pure greatness by the end…
DNC in Orlando, Underground Umbrella
Saw them most recently in Jax in April and he was sporting a hat like Ronnie Van Zant’s. I’d say he’s worthy.
DNC in Jax, Roll Away The Song
He has a side project too that he started with Nashville Blues singer Laura Reed during the Covid shutdown. The two of them opened the DNC show in April with an acoustic set. Band name is Lore. Long video below worth a few minutes for sure.
Lore

Saw them 8 or 9 years ago at a small bar. Every bit as good as they were in their prime. Go!
