"look up oweo on the OT

Is that a joke, because I CANNOT take anyone seriously here.
How do I look up a needle in a haystack on this site? And what are the odds that he's into a good selection of my favorites?
You didn't even state whether he plays keyboard or guitar, or anything.

Also another thing that's important before someone shows whether they are interested. The person interested needs to take a little time to let an online friendship to develop.
I need to make sure he doesn't bring in the usual internet crap that I see on this site or on Craigslist, and such, where people start flame wars, or trolling, and all that other stuff.

Hey, KingBob. Have you lost interest in me for good, because I'm still willing to give you a try. That is provided you want to get together to jam as friends, and you live here in Baton Rouge.

Opening this thread I was interested....but after reading it I'm not. Sounds like you're just trying to lure guys into a trap. It's creepy and disturbing. Or it's just a great troll job. Either way, carry on.

You were right when you came here and showed that you were initially interested. Now, out of no fault of my own, you are just the rest who feel creeped out by something or think I'm trolling people, when that's NOT in my nature to do so.
If you were interested, why didn't you go ahead and put yourself out there?

Where are the fricking jams bro??!?!?!??

We don't share the same musical tastes. I'm more of an early 90s rock guy.

And what influences would that be. And please don't spit out the same stuff like Nirvana, and Pearl Jam, and all that.
I'm tired of seeing those dudes who are obsessed with grunge, and whatnot.

I used to be big into grunge, especially playing, but I've kind of outgrown that. Tool, APC, RATM, Silverchair, AIC, Silversun Pickups, Radiohead, 311, Chevelle, Silverchair, Deftones, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, LZ, Incubus, Muse, Primus, Queen, RHCP, Smashing pumpkins, STP, Cake, Weezer, John Mayer, jimmy eat world, 30 Seconds to mars, Blind Melon, The War on Drugs, Tame Impala, Flight of the Concords, etc

Why doesn't anyone ever show any love for the music I enjoy? And why is there always no love shown for synth and keyboards? I want to meet some fellow keyboard players too. Incorporating and playing around with synths was one of the main draws of my search.
Also I noticed you mentioned 30 Seconds To Mars, Jimmy Eat World, and John Mayer too, but I haven't really practiced any of their songs. There stuff is a little too complex for me to play.

If it makes you feel better I really like Chvrches but I don't play their music.

That doesn't make me feel any better as I've never heard of Chvrches, and really am not too impressed with anything I've heard in pop this year really. The recycling the same old crap. I hadn't heard any music where the person is actually telling a meaningful story or weaving an interesting musical landscape.
I want to find someone who can help me write my own songs, and weave some dark and brooding synth landscapes with some guitar thrown in, and have poetic lyrics about isolation, loneliness, despair, death, while also writing some cheese dance-pop numbers.

Listen to Kendrick Lamar if you want to hear good lyrical storytelling. Good luck finding any decent lyrical music from the Pop genre. That's been dead for decades.

Rap is NOT my cup of tea. I'll have to pass on that. And those recommendations are for later anyway.
Focus on the important thing at hand. Maybe you can introduce me to someone who's more into the genres I'm into. You can introduce me to those who rockers who don't always equate being a rocker with being an angry, aggressive rocker who feels the need to equate having sex with playing guitar.

Kingbob gave you some great recommendations that you dismissed. There's not that many people around here that's into your taste in music.

"Kingbib gave you some great recommendations that you dismissed. There's not that many people around here that's into your taste in music."
There's got to be. And there's got to be some SANE guys. Those don't feel the need to BASH on my music and then consider whatever they play to be superior. Or those who feel the need to make up things like "guitar players get laid, while keyboard and synth players don't."
I can't take those guys seriously as musicians. Being a good musician means respecting other's tastes, and being open to incorporate other styles within your music.

Again, you are going to have to look elsewhere if you more into that kind of music.
Now, I'd be fine if this list included SOME of those artists, but I also need to see some of my favorites from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s mixed in. This includes some good music that makes use of synth textures and drum machines, and such.
This is not for your angry, rebellious rockers.

And I'm into a whole lot more than I listed on page 1. Way more.
