Any opinions on their new album? I think it’s totally different from their previous work. After a couple of playthroughs, I enjoy it. It grows on me.

While it is one of their better ones, their formula is very cookie cutter now.

Every song seems to have the same structure, and the chorus seems to always be the same.

I'd rank it their third best album behind the first two releases. It's really good.

I have right above All Hope Is Gone as their worst. But, it's still pretty good.

I grew up listening to them. I don't listen to them hardly anymore and I haven't listened to the new album yet. I don't think I will. Personally I grew out of that nu metal sound. I normally listen to heavier shite -- my ears require heavier shite.

I’ve enjoyed them more recently than before. I like that they can belt out some screamo and then sound good vocally in the same song. Then again, sometimes, I still go back and blast Iowa and previous albums for that raw shite.

Yeah I still sometimes listen to their old songs. I might give it a listen or two but man I'm into some deep heavy shite now.

Chris Fehn's unnamed replacement "Tortilla Man" is awesome live.

I didn’t know they replaced someone. I know one member died some time ago.

They replaced Chris Fehn with "Tortilla Man" after he sued the band for unpaid royalties. He also is rumored to have a drug problem. The bass player was replaced a few years ago after the other guy died.

Their first 3 albums were their best. This one is right on par with Volume 3. Iowa is the best thing they’ve ever done.

They get a lot of hate simply because they’re popular but they’re talented and put their all into their music.

Its not as good as I expected based on reviews. Its nowhere near as heavy as Iowa. The experimental stuff mostly works though.

It’s pretty heavy but not near 1 and 2. I even think Grey Chapter was harder

Red Flag and Orphan make me want to fight someone

I agree. There is an allure to this album though.

Corey should just stick to Stone Sour and leave the dead weight in Slipknot behind. Unsainted is catchy and Nero Forte reminds me of the old Jon Davis beatboxing but other than that the album is just cookie cutter teenage angst tracks.

Also, lose the masks guys you're almost 50

Yet one could argue they’ve never been bigger. They just had the number one album in Europe knocking off Ed Sheeren. In a day and age where the charts are nothing but teenage pop music, a “washed up” bunch of 50 year olds wearing masks are number 1.

They also just did a world tour where they are playing massive soccer stadiums of 50k +

I like it, I still hold Iowa as their best imo but this one is enjoyable.
