Yea, good album.

Hated it when he first put it out, but it's held up really well.

The album takes you to a most happy place. Growing up, I had really only heard a few songs that made it on the radio and I wasn't a big fan, which was mostly because it was on stations that my parents listened to, which I did not like. I was more into straight rock then. I didn't ever give the album a full listen until about 5 years ago and it's just perfect from beginning to end. It's a masterpiece.

I didn't care for it much at first but it's grown on me a lot over the years. Simon himself said he thought it was as perfect of an album as he could make.

Haha. I always think of Graceland when I hear their S/T debut. It seems heavily influenced by Graceland. I love both.

Yep, I was raised on this album and it gives me all the good feels. Truly one of the best.

Crazy Love Vol. II might be my favorite song on there. Still grin every time I hear "Fat Charlie the Archangel".

I Know What I Know is a good one and very good in concert on the Rhythm of The Saints tour. As a matter of fact, the stop at the Cajundome is a top five concert for me.

Neil Diamond did the African theme for an album in 1970 with Tap Root Manuscript. It wasn't as good as Graceland but had its moments

Same here, he put on an amazing show that night. If I remember right he played You can call me Al twice because the crowd was so into it.

Classic album. I haven't listened to it in a while. I'll have to give it a spin soon.

Shout outs to Adrian Belew, Los Lobos, and Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

You Can Call Me Al takes the album down 3 notches by its inclusion.

Same here. I always liked Simon but it took this concert to put me over the top. Absolutely fantastic. (I'm talking about the 1991 concert.)
