Any of you going?

I'm headed out after work. Going for Radiohead tomorrow night, the S U R V I V E album release party (Stranger Things soundtrack guys) after the Radiohead show and the M83 night show at Moody Theater Saturday. Anyone else I should check out tomorrow? Who are you going to see?

I'm there all weekend but I'm bartending. Come by the draft beer tent and say hi! I'll be the one on the food court side with the LSU bar key and the Keep Austin Country shirt.

Friday:I thought Radiohead was kinda meh for the most part although they did pick it up towards the end. Same for M83 as I wasn't big on them either. Die Antwoord easily had the best live performance that I've seen this weekend - an hour of nonstop energy. M83 and Radiohead followed D.A. later in the evening and I think that's why I was kinda down on those two performances- it was just too hard to follow that D.A. show. Caught the very end of Band of Horses and the little that I saw was great. Had the schedule mixed up or else I would have seen more of this show.

Saturday: I didn't bounce around to different stages as much on Saturday as I did on Friday. Saw LL's entire show and he was solid. And Kendrick Lamar was great - 2nd best performance that I've seen this weekend.

Here now.

Shane Smith and the saints were fantastic. Really liked them.

Doing Lizzo right now. It's pretty terrible.

They've had some great performances here, especially today. I'm waiting right now for Mumford & Sons, but Chris Stapleton was absolutely incredible. Kacey Musgraves and Nathaniel Rateliff killed it today with some great sets as well. All at the same stage!

Mumford effing killed it. I know it's cool to hate on them but this guys bring it hard to everything I've ever seen them do. Would have loved if they walked Baaaba Maal out to do There Will be Time on the last song. The live version of that song is incredibly superior to the studio version.

We sat between Homeaway and Samsung in the afternoon so we got to listen to both perfectly fine without moving.

Musgraves and Cody Stapleton were fun, NR and the Nightsweats were fantastic.

Haim was alright but I really liked one of the earlier acts called Wild Child. Remember need me a bit of Sondre Lerche and Head and the Heart.

Was sad to miss LCD and Young the Giant, but we had settled into a good shaded area for the afternoon shows. LCD sounded badass from where we were though.

My thoughts:

We unexpectedly got tickets late Friday, so we didn't make it out there till the evening. We focused on Radiohead, and I loved it. I'm a casual Radiohead fan, and that was my first time seeing them. I had two "must hear" songs: Weird Fishes and There, There. They played both. Overall, I thought it was a solid performance that lived up to the Radiohead hype.

Saturday felt the most crowded, and it seems like I spent a lot of time in beer and bathroom lines. LL Cool J, Cage the Elephant and Chainsmokers were all good. Andra Day, an artist I hadn't previously heard of, stole the show for me. Of what I saw Saturday, she was my favorite.

On Sunday, we stumbled across Break Science and really enjoyed that. Pete Yorn was my favorite on Sunday, but St. Paul and the Broken Bones also stood out among what I saw this weekend.

i like LCD a lot, but Mumford was fantastic and i don't feel a need to defend that decision.

i know it's cool to hate on them but why don't y'all hate on no talent arse clowns like Maroon 5, beyonce, 21 pilots, or Miley instead of a band that's obviously talented that unfortunately hipsters have decided to adopt?
