Why did it take me so long to dive into these guys. Been listening to hard rock/metal for 40 years. Very impressed...wish they were still kicking around today.

Acid Bath is legendary. There is poster on here(I can't remember his name) who is friends with Dax & shows up in Acid Bath posts from time to time. The guitarist Sammy Duet is killing it in Goatwhore now.

I know they shut it down after their bassist was killed in a car accident. Wonder if they would ever do any type of reunion? Would be great to see them live or hear new music but I can understand not wanting to do it without one of the original guys.

Been a fan since I was a young teen. I'm so grateful their music and presence, was part of those formative years

Dax has said this would never happen about a million times. That band died 24 years ago.

Sammy spends a fair amount of time at the Shack, he and I are the two biggest 80s metal Floyd Rose'd guitar geeks in south Louisiana and that association made us instant bruhs.

GW is recording their new record right now at a studio in Florida.

Get an Instagram account if you don’t already have one and follow Sammy. Every Sunday night he does a live chat where he answers questions and plays Goatwhore & Acid Bath songs.

I was beyond thrilled last year when I noticed Acid Bath was available on Spotify. For a band with two albums, they made my top 5 artists for 2020.....just goes to show how much I listened to them

I think we are due for another update on what Dax is up to. Musick?

The last I remember is that he's got a lot of songs ready to record for a new Dax solo album (or double album?). Can't wait to hear something new from him. It's been about 10 years.

I desperately need my Dean DR adjusted and fixed up. Have no idea what im doing when it comes to that setup..but very sentimental about that guitar.

Shame I can't play it live anymore, or even really pull it out in front of people around here.

The only chance I got to see Acid Bath was by accident. I was in New Orleans hanging out when some fellow metal kids saw my Pantera shirt and asked if I was going to that night's Acid Bath show at a club called Jimmy's. I think Audie Pitre must have passed away recently because they were already announcing they were shutting it down. I remember Floodgate and some band with a chick singer with crazy pink hair opened.

Been a fan of Dax's stuff ever since.

I've never heard of them but the name kicks enough arse that I'm open to a trial run. What would be their 3 or 4 best songs to listen to for someone who has literally never heard a single note that they've played?

I hope this doesn't sound cocky, but I'm confident I'm among the best Floyd Rose techs you will ever work with.

I do too ... I have a few, plus my shop is an authorized ESP service and warranty center. Here's my go-to daily player ...

Hey man, your guitar knowledge & advice is amongst the best parts of TD. I've often said that if you had a gofundme on here, you'd rake in tips.

I'd 100% trust you more with my guitars than I do myself That guitar is still back in Louisiana, so I'd let you know way ahead of time when I'm back in the area

Not sure if I gave you guys this update but Dax scrapped an entire album of stuff (he does this way more than you know) mid year 2020 and found a new core group of guys and is working on a new album.

He's pretty far along and he's also signing one piece of merch per order on daxriggs.com, an awesome time to cop his vinyl and have it signed.

He also just opened a new official instagram page, I would def follow it.

He's in the arrangement part of the recording process (this is his longest stage bc he's very tedious with it, he can work on a melody for weeks straight)

Yeah buddy. This board is how I discovered Acid Bath a few years back. Discovered a number of good bands here. Acid Bath is probably the best of the bunch.
