In fact, I believe that Dave is more talented than Trey.
I truly don't care for Dave Matthews band and he gets a quick change of the radio dial just like pearl jam but I think he's an absolutely better songwriter than trey.
Better musician? That's laughable.
"Talented" is highly subjective but DMB does have some well written songs looking at it objectively.

I didn't read this whole thread, but I've just about grown out of it in the past 2 or three years--I'm 36. Jimmy Herring has ruined WSP for me. I bought some Halloween tickets, but I really don't care if I go or not.
I'll still rock some old school shite from the 90's but I refuse to listen to anything new from them.

I swear most of the time it looks like someone puked PT onto my monitor.
Can we get some original thoughts in a jam band thread just once?

I don't smoke pot anymore and I'm listening to Driving Song > Hatfield
Panic was the one band that transitioned decently for me. I don't listen to them nearly as much as I used to, but they are just as easy on the ears sipping whiskey as smoking a bowl/trippin. There aren't many others I can say that about. The dead are still great under the right circumstances too.

Irony
The only jam band you're capable of talking about is WSP. No one cares about that band any more. Herring ruined it. Move on.

American Aquarium, Turnpike Troubadors, Widespread Panic... my head hurts

You sure seem to pop into every WSP thread to not care about them. They take up quite a lot of real estate in your head, why is that Burt?

Widespread Panic show in Biloxi a few years ago and remember being depressed leaving the show. I was looking around at all of their fans and I remember just feeling sorry for them. They looked tired and strung out. They were gathering up their things and piling into a car to hit the road to the next show. It just seemed like they had no purpose
I feel the most sorry for panic fans. They follow a band that hardly jams and mostly consists of John bells horrible voice. I don't see how anyone could follow WSP without getting depressed. I now see why they're fans polish off a handle at every show. Because they don't want to remember how boring it is. I see why phish phans follow phish because its actually a REAL jam band.

He LOVES to troll Panic fans. The best thing to do is just ignore it IMO

Give him a few minutes he's got to go to PT and let them tell him why he doesn't like WSP

I'm pissed that my first show was in '03, the year after Houser died.
