I was 16 when this happened and remember it. Thanks for the reminder that I'm now old.

Which is why you think Tupac is the GOAT.
Don't get me wrong, I love Pac, but the real answer, for a lyrical point of view, is Rakim.

No. Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, Rakim, Eminem, Ghostface Killer, Andre 3000...a lot ahead of him. He was the best acting rapper though.

I never heard of him prior to him being killed.
I still can't tell you anything about him, other than he was linked to gangs and rap.
Therefore, he can rot.

What is hard to grasp is he was 25 and Biggie was 24. Both accomplished so much in a short time.

I felt that way about Karen Carpenter dying at 32. Tupac and Biggie? Not so much.

What did they really accomplish other than profiting from and glorifying a lifestyle that is destructive to black people? A couple of posers that got the violent end they went looking for. frick both of those dead minstrels.

Did Biggies crew put the rat tat tat on him or not?

Tupac was a poser. Went to an artsy school, dumped and Madonna because it would ruin his street cred, He played the gangsta role for record sales. He truly effed around and found out.
