I don't think bling-bling rap ruined hip-hop. Some of the Cash Money albums and Houston rap from that same time frame is some of my favorite music. I just enjoy that for different reasons than I enjoy an album like "The Blueprint." The Blueprint might be my favorite rap album all time, but I love Big Pimpin and songs like it as well. It doesn't have to be one or the other.

As good as "The Blueprint" is, it still comes second to Jay-Z's "Reasonable Doubt." In the same vein, RD has been far more important to the hip-hop scene both then and even down to the present.
