That's a lot I don't know. Will have to do some listening later. 90s were way different for me than 80s for the most part.

Now you know what I do all night when I have insomnia.
Not just trying to sound cool and throw out obscure bands... This was literally just me as a 4AD geek who wore out his This Mortal Coil cassette tapes going back and forth to LSU on lonely highway 61 for 6 years...thirsting for something to continue the love I had for the bands on that label in the 90s.
For instance The Kindness of Strangers which I didn't post any examples of was a side project of Louise Rutkowki who was the haunting singer on most of the 3 TMC records. She is also The Hope Blister and it's so easy to recognize that voice on the example I posted on the prior page.
Cool side fact: because her work is fairly obscure post 4AD she has her own channel on YT with her stuff posted and responds to every comment made.
granted there's only a few dozen comments but still how cool is that...and she's still singing!
Others like Lynn Canfield of Moon7x is just an amazing person who I've exchanged emails with for decades and even talked her into wishing one of my good friends happy birthday a few years and he lost his mind when she posted on his FB page
Stina Nordenstam is another story like that. I was a rabid fan already even before she became temporarily famous by having Little Star featured on Romeo+Juliet in the 90s. Turned out a good friend of mine in Sweden was good friends with one of the musicians in her band and he sent me all kinds of personally signed stuff and demo CDs and stuff that were never released to the general public.
Suffice it to say music has always been a huge part of my life.
Also shoegaze and twee were some of the other names thrown out to describe this type of music back in the day.
Stina!

This is a totally biased list of alternative rock and pop, but yeah some of my favorite groups from the alternative rock genre!

Believe it or not, this was Heart's only #1. For as great as they were, this was their only chart-topper. And ironically it was the only song that Ann didn't sing lead. Nancy did.
Prime Nancy Wilson was fine as all frick.

This is incorrect. Heart also hit number 1 in 1987 with Alone.
