I was 9 that year and can't listen to this song without thinking about the summer trip where it seemed like it was the only song the radio stations were playing and we had 2 blowouts about 2 hours apart on the highway. Dad was pissed, and chain smoking the rest of the trip.

Still amazes me that it was 1982.

I was 9.

That album is something that college aged kids have been finding for over 30 years. Amazing.

bottled lighting. EVERYBOFY knows that stuff, it doesn´t matter their age, or where they live. Truly amazing.

My freshman year of high school. Great songs. I remember buying the Signals cassette and listening to it on my Walkman as we drove to LSU from Shreveport for my first game in Tiger Stadium. The LSU-FSU "oranges on the field" game. Great memories.

Tremendous album from an underrated band.

1982 was also the year that MTV made its way to a majority of cable systems in the US, which introduced those of us in the hinterlands to a ton of acts that weren't being played on our local radio stations.

ETA: I was working in radio, TV and playing in a band that year, as well as finishing my degree at AU.

1982 was so good that even this abomination couldn't ruin it.

Zappa, your brother got a nice shout out/mention on the radio yesterday here in Houston and I'm not talking about the one that plays music.
