I just watched Bladerunner and Time Bandits again within the last 2 months. Boy have they messed up my child hood memories. 30 years later they are pretty bad. I love TB as a kid.

You can add Ice Pirates to that "ruined memories" list.

I took Science Fiction in undergrad. The professor spent an entire class explaining why "Star Wars" wasn't science fiction. He was pretty passionate about it.

I know alot of genre nerds get upset about it, but its hard for me to think of another science fantasy film. I classify myself as a sci-fi nerd and I know the difference, I just don't give a frick.

Oh yeah how the frick did I forget Blade Runner & Repo Man.
I'll just put it with the next 5.

Blade Runner
Dark City
Videodrome
Repo Man
Fahrenheit 451

I guess we could keep going with this but I'm drunk and going to bed.

That's one of those classic constant cough "I have a 720p rip of that on one of my hard drives but haven't gotten around to watching it yet"

I know, I know...

ETA: Ok now bed, right after this one last shot.

I have to be honest and list the ones I've probably watched the most - so it's not all a fancy list:

Eternal Sunshine on the Spotless Mind
Aliens
Terminator
The Butterfly Effect
2046
Posted by Hoodoo Man
Sunshine Pumping most days.

The one with Kurt Russel was the original.

And Sunshine is super underrated.
Even if the ending went haywire.
