it's a song very open to interpretation and ethereal movement. very cinematic and affected. very gay. you may even need to get one of those wands with a long ribbon at the end of it to fully realize the potential for dance accompaniment.

First it's probably worth noting that my 10 favorite movies and the top 10 greatest movies are a significantly different list. My favorite movies are movies that I enjoy watching again and again. Having said this, these are my favorites:

1. The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
2. Groundhog Day (1993)
3. The Good the Bad and the Ugly (1966)
4. Casablanca (1942)
5. Pride and Prejudice (2005)
6. Gosford Park (2001)
7. Rear Window (1954)
8. Star Wars (1977)
9. The Matrix (1999)
10. Ben Hur (1959)

The 10 greatest movies in terms of their theme, impact on society, acting, casting, special effects and general popularity are probably something like this:

1. Gone with the Wind (1939)
2. Ben Hur (1959)
3. The Godfather (1972)
4. The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
5. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (2001-2003)
6. Schindler's List (1993)
7. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975)
8. The Usual Suspects (1995)
9. The Silence of the Lambs (1991)
10. Lawrence of Arabia (1962)

that's what this thread is about. I understand that I have not seen a lot of the older movies, but I appreciate them for what they have done....but if Lawrence of Arabia is on TV, I'm changing the channel. If Seven is on...im probably going to watch until Brad Pitt asks "whats in the tha box!?"
