Oh and they totally wasted Scott Speedman.

The whole camera/neighbor database was such a waste of a story line. They set it up like Matthew was gonna be a thorn in their side, like he was gonna find something on them and lead to this massive blow up whwre someone (probably Matthew) dies. But then he just deletes the whole thing and that plot is over.

Solid season overall. The first half of the season was great. I liked the whole serial killer couple vibe. That part was interesting.

Joe all of a sudden becoming obsessed with Marianne seemed very rushed. He went from working things out with Love, and being annoyed by her talking shite about white people. To all of a sudden being "in love" with her. It didn't make since and seemed forced.

Sherry and Cary ended up becoming very likeable for me. I will never swing that way, but the "a bisexual man is a well optimized man". That line now lives in my head rent-free. I'm glad they made it out alive.

I personally would have rather seen Love and Joe both survive, and they continue together under the realization if either of them cheat, the other will simply kill the person they cheated with. I'd much rather see that story instead of Joe in a new city stalks a new random girl.

Last point. If Joe is going to change his entire identity now. He couldn't change his look. I mean he went through so much trouble to fake his death. Even cutting off toes. Yet he couldn't simply go bald, or maybe grow a thick beard? It seems like the story of a suburban mom from a rich family being a serial killer would be an extremely popular story. All over Reddit, and even a Netflix documentary. Surely he will get noticed eventually.

finished last night and was a bit disappointed. It became a chore to get through this season.

-Season 1 was awesome and had a lot of tension. Season 2 maybe wasn't quiiiiite good but still a lot of cat and mouse drama, especially with the ex-gf showing up. Season 3 just kinda seemed boring and more focused on everyone's love interests instead of killing and getting away with it
-I swear I'm not a boomer who will boycott a show if the main character is a liberal btu the wokeness was practically beating you over the head. The vaccination angle seemed pretty heavy handed and even had people getting pissed at others for not being vaxxed. I'm aware it was about measles but I mean it's 2021, there's no way that wasn't intnetinoally a reference to covid. And let's look at Joe's love interests. Season 1- objectively beautiful long haired blonde white girl. SEason 2- pretty attractive (a big mouth but probably universally considered good looking) long haired white girl. Season 3- Objectivey beautiful long haired white lady. Also season 3- meh looking short haired black girl. Hey to each his own, but most people have a type, especially serial killers who are very fastidious and have a certain way of doing things in their life. It just seemed extremely out of character. Oh and of course, there was an interracial gay dude copule, to go along with the interracial popular couple.
-The storyline of love and the next door neighbor made ZERO sense and was just really perplexing. Love, who is obsessed wtih joe to the point of killing for him, hits like a 1 month rough patch so then fricks the 19 year old neighbor? Because he's having parent problems? It's just not realistic.
-The neighbor is supposed to be some elon musk technical savant that is like a titan in the tech industry. So he never thought to look at the camera ACROSS THE STREET from where his wife's SUV took off from? So his son pulls it up in like 10 seconds?
-Season 2 ends with them being pregnant, big storyline! Oh btw they don't ever really watch or have to deal with the kid in season 3, then end up giving him away. What? And speaking of...at the end of season 2 he just tells ellie to run away to florida and he'll send her some money. What? They sure seem to not know wtf to do wthi kids in this series so just get rid of em.

I finished it last night, I really could have done without some of the liberal snark forced into the show.

Antivax stuff
Qanon

And there was a line from Loves mom about Republicans accepting the elections that was so clunky and forced it didn't even feel like believable dialogue.
Sheesh, yall are snowflakes. They also showed these "liberal" people being generally terrible (e.g.Sherry - bonus, she was black!) and also psychotically killing each other. But ohnoz...they mentioned qanon in a negative light for 1 second!

Also, Season 2 felt just like a straight up send up of the preposterousness of LA life and LA people.

I love how easy they make cheating look. in the end I'm glad Joe got out alive. Love is way worse than Joe
So predictable. The male psycho is morally superior to the female psycho!

The blue hat is back

I finally caught all of S3. Anyone else disappointed that he didn't get a tiny blue hat for Henry, so he could be incognito in his baby carrier?

I hope we don’t get an entire season 4 of Joe trying to track her down.

The actress who played Marianne was one of the bitchy, bully girls in the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

I thought for sure that as we see Joe set out across Paris to find her, he'd encounter his new obsession, kind of the way he discovers the neighbor at the end of S2.
